Welcome to the Greek Life Community and to Colorado State University! We encourage you to take a few minutes to look at this website and to consider why more than 400,000 college students nationwide have chosen to become members of Greek organizations. As a parent of a potential fraternity or sorority member, you will learn about the incredible opportunities available for your daughter or son. |
The Greek community at Colorado State University has been in existence since 1915, with a continuing tradition of excellence. Through the years, we have been a community that fosters academic excellence, leadership ability, philanthropic services, and active contribution to both the campus and Fort Collins communities. Our Greek system consists of 14 sororities and 23 fraternities with a total membership of over 1,500 undergraduate students. While each organization maintains its own activities, traditions, and national affiliations, each is founded on similar principles of scholarship, leadership, community service, and life long friendship. |
Our community has developed extensive self-governing policies concerning human rights, hazing and substance abuse. In addition, the Councils compromised of undergraduate chapter members serve as the governing bodies for the fraternities and sororities. |
The Greek experience at Colorado State University offers a safe and fun way to maximize the college experience. Your son or daughter will also have opportunites to develop personal growth skills that will extend far beyond his or her years on campus. |
We look forward to beginning the journey with you and working with both you and your student(s) in the future. Please let us know how we can help you. |
Sincerely, |
